For this exhibition, artists from Hamburg and Karlsruhe have joined forces in a joint project in which they address the relationship between man and nature and the positioning of man in his environment under the umbrella term LEBENSWELTEN. Among other things, the project deals with the fascinating living environment of the moor and the increasingly limited habitat of free-living animals in connection with man’s increasing need for mobility.

The artistic realization is wide-ranging: dialogical overpaintings with a sensory combination of painting and sound, hybrid pictorial works with augmented reality, sewing drawings, photography, wood printing, installation and collage.

A special element of the exhibition are the glass-sound-objects of the two artists Sabine Schäfer and Rosemarie Vollmer: through sandblasted glass panes, equipped with special sound technology, the sound microcosm of bat sounds becomes audible.
