Communication as the Processes of Life<\/h3>\n
\nLinks based on the ever increasing amount of data not only magnify the image of ourselves but also that of our environment and adds the need to acquire additional competencies\/skills and expertise. Endoscopic processes transform us into visual and auditory travelers through both the microcosms and macrocosms of our universe.
\nIn addition, a material based revolution has gradually taken place, in which these procedures have manifest themselves in so-called „smart materials“, made possible by the development combinations with their new properties.
\nMedia art responds to these developments and makes the underlying structures and principles that are currently underlying our communication, perceptible. This is made possible by aestheticizing them and exposing their innermost\/internal potential.
\nIn the complex works composed by Sabine Sch\u00e4fer, especially the new interactive prints and time-based works (e.g. high-end video and sound garden), the hybrid polyphony, which can be encountered currently in all areas of our lives, is reflected both audibly and visually and that on several levels. The most influential and authoritative factor in each case are the mixtures of QR-coding and kaleidoscopically composed sound. Both use the natural and original scores of sound along with the dissection of the primary colours in photographically high-resolution photographs to form a synaesthetic ensemble.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\nInformation on the exhibition place: Schloss Lautrach
